Sometimes the right contractor makes all the difference. The homeowner at this Butte Valley residence had initially hired someone to build a custom fireplace mantle, but after over a year of waiting without progress, they were left with a stalled project and little confidence. That’s when they were referred to us at Parrish Construction.

We came in to assess the situation and provide a clear, efficient plan to move forward. First, we designed and built a custom mantle that balanced clean lines with warmth and character—perfect for the room’s style and scale. Once the mantle was in place, we turned our attention to transforming the fireplace face. We installed a Cultured Stone veneer to add depth, texture, and a natural feel to the focal wall. Finally, we finished the hearth with tile selected to complement the new stonework while offering a durable, easy-to-clean surface.

The result is a fireplace that finally feels finished—grounded in craftsmanship and designed to be enjoyed. What started as a stalled vision became a space that the homeowners are proud to gather around.
